Gilded and patinated bronze clock representing Cupid wearing the celestial vault. France, work of the First Empire Period, early 19th century.

The octagonal terrace is decorated with patterns of laurel leaves, butterfly and love trophies; on the terrace, the winged God of Love supports a star-shaped sphere welcoming the movement, at his feet the bow and the quiver. Enamel dial with Roman numerals, gilded brass hands, Paris movement with wire suspension.

The clock is in excellent condition. The original gilding is beautifully preserved.
