Imposing Allegorical Louis XVI Period Ormolu Bronze Mantel Clock

Imposing Louis XVI period mantel clock in finely chased and ormolu gilded bronze and white marble representing an allegorical figure dressed in the old style surrounded by two dogs. The dial is surrounded by the branches of a tree, where doves flirt, whose stem rests on a rock from which flows a silver river. The white marble base is adorned with fluted pilasters with asparagus tips, flowers, a frieze representing two cherubs in gilded bronze and rests on spinning tops.
Magnificent original gilding in excellent state of conservation. Original movement with striking at the hour and half hour.

On request the clock is delivered completely revised by specialist watchmaker.
