19th century Erigone Marble Sculpture By Claude Michel Dit Clodion

Erigone holding the cluster in her left hand, marble sculpture signed at the bottom “Clodion”. France, 19th century, after a model by Claude Michel dit Clodion (1738-1814).
The statue of Erigone, personifying the Allegory of Autumn, in life-size plaster, was made by Clodion in 1782 to decorate the dining room of the Count d’Artois in the Château de Maisons (in Maisons-Lafitte). This sculpture uses the terracotta reduction made by Clodion during his lifetime from 1783, a version of which is kept at the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm and another, showing Erigone holding the cluster in his right hand, at the Petit Palais museum (inv. S) .DUT.1435).
Very good state of conservation.
