17th Century Verspronck Flemish Oil Painting Lady Portrait Giltwood Frame

Flemish school of the 17th century, entourage of Johannes Cornelisz Verspronck (Harlem, 1600-1662), portrait of Clotilde de Lichtervelde at the age of 33, dated 1652.
In the pure tradition of the Flemish portrait, this young woman wears rich fashionable clothes in the mid-seventeenth century, a magnificent brocade dress surmounted by a large lace collar. It is represented by three quarters; the hair is collected backwards to fall on the shoulders in spiral-shaped ringlets, according to the fashion of the time. His posture, the delicacy in the modeled, the refined and precise execution are closer to the entourage of Cornelisz Verspronck. It is dated 1652 and bears the inscription: aetatis suo anno 33.

The De Lichtervelde family was a family from the nobility of the Flanders county, known from the twelfth century.
The portrait has a beautiful carved and giltwood frame of the seventeenth century. It is in perfect condition.

Canvas size 50 x 60 cm. Frame size 61 x 71 cm.
