17th Century Venetian School Baroque Carved Wood Pair Of Putti

Pair of Putti walnut finely carved, Italy, Venetian school, 17th century.
The figure of Putto knows a strong return between Renaissance and Baroque, as much in the Sacre as in the profane one. This pair of Putti, of typical Baroque taste, is similar in the manner of Andrea Brustolon (Belluno, 1662-1732), sculptor, one of the protagonists of the Venetian Baroque.
The finesse of the work applied to a precious essence such as walnut, proportions, patina, the fact of not forgetting the small details suggests a qualified sculptor, influenced by a great master, not only a craftsman. Very good state of conservation, small gaps.
