15th century German Bone and Ivory Reliquary Sculpture Relic

A rare and untraceable reliquary in bone and ivory representing a glazed sarcophagus containing the remains of the saint, Germany, late 15th century.
The sarcophagus rests on a stepped base: inside, it is possible to see the figure of the saint, in carved ivory, with two candelabra next to it. Under the guise of the saint is the relic, hidden inside a niche carved into the bone and closed with glass at both ends.
It truly is a little gem: its tiny dimensions, considering that it fits in the palm of a hand, suggests how much mastery it took to sculpt such an object with such thoroughness.
